    Ki's is a mainstay in the area, an old fashioned place to dine. Our group had a pleasant dinner out on the deck. The menu items were all good, just not exceptional. Prices are fair for the quantity and quality of the food.

    Great place for a fun night out. Entertainment is great on the weekends and food is delicious. Innovative menu in a nice setting, especially the back room. The beef is very high quality and service is professional and friendly.

    After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't come but since I had a groupon' my brother and I decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Both the food and service were top notch. We both had their signature dish, the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut, that was excellent. It came with grilled asparagus and a mixed green salad. It was preceded my an excellently made martini. The server, Angela, was very friendly. I will be back.

    Whatever you do, don't get the shrimp dejonghe!! It was WAY too garlicky and frankly inedible. I cringe just thinking about it.

    Have been going to Ki's for about 20 years. Decided to go to the restaurant for Valentines day and booked a week in advance. At the time of booking I was never told that there would be a limited menu along with the fact that prices were raised $3-$4 per dish or more. The waiter told me that this was a common complaint that night and asked me if I wanted to continue to dine at the restaurant. I knew there was no use in being upset with him but I will not support a restaurant that baits and switches. We walked out Do not support unethical business practices. This place depends on extremely old clientele with money and decided to take advantage of that clientele. Luckily I am not that old and have the wherewithal to not take that from a company.

    If you have a wheelchair or walker this is NOT the place to go. My father tried to surprise me with Mother's Day brunch. When reservations were made, we told them one person is in a wheelchair. When we got there ... We had to wait .. And ended up being sat in a booth ... My father left to block the isle ( embarrassing him) Instead of leaving, i tried to make the best of it. My 75 year old aunt and 6'4 fiancé where left to sit with one leg out into the isle as the Booth was small and dads wheelchair blocked them. We were never given another more appropriate table for dad, nor was the bill compensated. 30.00 plus for a timed (1.5 hour brunch and then they have another seating) there was no Valet, no one directing the overcrowded parking, no nice stations.. Just one small room with scattered tables. Not a good buffet for kids, or anyone with disabilities. The food was okay. Our server was nice. So frustrated with their idea of a nice brunch.

    So disappointed used to be one of my favorite restaurants. However attended their Easter Brunch today and it saddened my heart. They didn't seat us until 25 minutes after our reservation time. We had to stand while waiting limited seating. Parking lot was a mess. The food was okay, not always hot but again disappointed in a few other things. The lipstick on my glass that was NOT my color, the dirty buffet dishes brought out for use with chunks of food still left on them and the serving stations with broken tops. Haven't been there for dinner in awhile so can't compare a regular dinner vs holiday buffet but can say we will not be going back.

    Just had a baby shower here with more than 50 guests! Food was excellent but more than that, the people who work here were so accommodating and so nice that I highly recommend Ki's! Beautiful venue, comfortable seating, lovely garden - absolutely enjoyable event for everyone.

    Food is good, great service, excellent drinks. Lots of variety but not as much on menu as a few years ago. Wish servers would automatically state the price of specials or give you a small menu showing the specials and price. It seems a customer should not have to ask. Husband likes steaks, I like the seafood.

    Sunday brunch, check Mimosas, orange juice, champagne, coffee included, check Lots of food choices, all good, check. Views of a small farm with chickens, sheep, peacock and donkeys, (really!) check. Great service, check. Reasonable price, about $16 each, check. Will be back, check, check, check!

    Service was painfully slow & the food was not worth the price. It took over 10 mins for us to get drinks (drinks= iced tea, coke, hot tea, etc) and then another half hour after we put in our order to get our salads. 2 hours for dinner when the place was less than half full was unacceptable. Save your money and go someplace like Weber Grill or Claim Jumper, which are both a short drive from this dive.

    I have been here many times with my family and I have to say the food and service get worse and worse. One of past times we went for lunch with our daughter, and a woman who I believe was an owners daughter or manager was sitting in a booth by herself (at times the servers would sit and chat with her) who spent the majority of the time talking really loudly into her cell phone. It was incredibly unprofessional and ruined our lunch. The last time we went for a Sunday brunch, it was a nightmare. Our server took forever to come to us. Our drinks took half an hour to arrive and I literally has to keep getting up to try to hunt her down for things like water or silverware. She was so terrible that I had to ask one of the other waitresses for help. We went again in for lunch recently and again it was a dissapointment. The buffet selection was pretty minimal, the fried fish was literally tasteless and identical to the fish poppers at White Castle. Our waitress was okay in the beginning but she forgot to bring us our bread which I had to ask for when she brought our food. She got another table and took their order and while we finished and wanted to ask for our check, she disappeared for the longest time. It very frustrating as it was a total of three tables in the entire place (which included us). I was about to get up and bang on the doors because there was literally no staff in sight. I also agree with another yelper who mentioned the dirty plates. Almost all of the soup bowls at the buffet had food stuck to them. Also, the plates for the buffet weren't even full sized plates, they were side plates. Talk about tacky! I doubt we will ever come back.

    Happy Aniversary to my parents...30 years!!! I really enjoyed that our table was set up in the back with a nice view of the Christmas decorations. I bet this place is hopping with 50 and 60 somethings during the summer! I wouldn't say it was crowded, but there was enough people in the restaurant to know that it had to be at least okay! I was very surprised with the place. It was a lot bigger than what my grandma and I thought it was! Our party arrived at 7 PM for our reservation. I feel like this place is a bit of throwback style. The Village Tavern Grill for older people. I don't drink, but the customers here are mostly "old school". The Christmas lights (I am a fan of colored lights, but these white lights were so soothing on this chilly December night) fit perfectly with the laid back atmosphere. I knew I would be getting an appetizer. I went with the shrimp cocktail. It was okay. I knew the real star of my meal would come after my soup (which was Manhattan Clam Chowder). I liked this better than New England Clam Chowder. Funny thing is, if you would have asked me the difference about three hours ago I would not have known! I went with the filet mignon (6 oz), garlic mashed potatoes, and the side veggies. I forgot to add sauteed mushrooms but my steak, medium rare, was great without it. My family seem to enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere as well. I was shocked because this is the type of place that was MADE for my parents. The service was good and they have live music. God I love Christmas music! I will be back to Ki's to celebrate another 30 years of bliss for my parents!

    Ki's was one of my mother's favorite restaurants, so I ate there a lot--back when there was a Pong game in the bar. Even though I live less than 10 minutes from Ki's, I have only been there once in the past 30 years. It is a far cry from the modestly elegant restaurant it was. I doubt if my wife and I will return after our recent fiasco. My wife and I had reservations for the bar (my wife is a musician, so we went to review the venue), and were seated promptly at 7:00 p.m. And then the wait began. Water came at 7:10. We had to request a wine list. The waitress returned at 7:30 and we gave her our wine order; we should have ordered our meals. Wine arrived at 7:45; again, should have ordered, but our waitress said she would be right back. Ordered sometime around 8:15; food (adequate--overpriced for what it was) came around 8:45. I lost track of time, but suffice to say that at 10:00 we had to request our check; at 10:45 we walked to the front and demanded our check. We don't blame our waitress. There were at least three parties of six or more, and they received all the attention. Other staff helped our waitress, but she was essentially alone. She served and she bussed. I noticed that there were two bar tenders who stayed behind the bar all night except when they went outside to smoke (and the crowd in the restaurant was the "smokiest" crowd I have seen in quite a while in DuPage County). As I said, the food was adequate. My wife had perch, but the creamed spinach side was merely blanched spinach. If her chicken soup didn't come from a can, it should have: it would have been an improvement. The tastiest part of my beef medallions were the grilled vegetables. My wife ordered chocolate cake for dessert; they were out of it, so the waitress (who really was a sweetheart) brought her a chocolate-peanut butter pie, which we requested she take (my wife abhors peanut butter); the water in my coffee may have spent a few moments in the presence of a coffee bean. Even the national chain restaurants (Chili's, Houlighan's, even Olive Garden) are a more pleasant dining experience. As for the music, the singer sang flat and the volume was too loud for the room (and there was more room in the washroom than on the dance floor). Once in 30 years was enough for me.

    So....walking in, saw an empty tube of Fixodent. Like the decor, the clientele are very dated. The prime rib comes in one level doneness, well. This is because I do not think they make their own. My wife's fillet had veins in it....gross. Pricey...gross...take a pass.

    Just went there and was very pleased that they have obviously taken some of the bad reviews to heart. The service was great and the food was wonderful. They even made a special attempt to seat us by the window in the back, which is always lovely. It made my mother's day! This place has been here for 80 years and has had it's ups and downs, but they were filled with parties the day we went. Everything we had was very good and I am so happy that they are embracing their old "Supper Club" vibe again! Love looking out at the chickens and ducks!

    I recently attended a meal at Ki's Steak and Seafood for a surprise 50th birthday party- and the restaurant did an excellent job. It was a packed house by 6 pm on a Saturday evening- and the service was still fantastic. There were two main wait staff working our party of around 30 people- and we did not want for anything. The male server in particular was fantastic- bringing refills of pop and water before we asked, and asking frequently if individuals wanted their alcoholic beverages refilled. The meal was served family style- we started with a house salad (it was fine- but nothing special), for the main meal we had a grilled chicken dish, beef with au jus, and mostacholli and mashed potatoes (my favorite part of the meal)- all of it was great. Dessert was a lovely cake- which was brought in from outside- but the server had the cake sliced, put with ice cream, and served efficiently. It was a lovely evening, and if I lived in this area I would certainly think about hosting a special event here!

    Not very impressed. Nice view from the back window and service was friendly but those are the only positives. Had the lamb chops for dinner and ordered medium rare but they were beyond well done. Should have known since it took over 40 minutes to get them. So charred the bones broke off by just picking them up. Ravioli was ok. Fresh mozzarella in the dish was a nice touch but flavorless. Creme Brûlée for dessert no crunch on top and no flavor. Chocolate cake was dry. Chicken noodle soup and French onion soups were delicious but that's the only positive for food. Disappointed as was there last year and it was really good. Not so much now

    We went there for New Years Eve and they put us into a terrible side room by ourselves that the staff was using as a walkthrough from the kitchen to the dining room. The room was ugly and freezing cold and we kept telling them that this was not acceptable but no one came to help us out. We had to eat dinner with our coats on. The server was very nice but said she couldn't do anything. They do not have the right to put you in a nasty room without telling you when you call to place your reservation. We had a party of 10 but they have tables that would accommodate 10 in the main restaurant. If you can't handle it you shouldn't take the reservation. This was not a good experience for new years eve. The food was good but quickly turned cold with the cold air blowing thru the room.

    My family headed over to Ki's to celebrate my parent's 30th wedding anniversary. WOW! We had reservations at 7 PM on Friday, and the dining room in the back was not too crowded when we got there, but as we left, the crowd certainly had increased in size. To be fair, I was not expecting anything great from Ki's. They've been is business for a long time, and my parents really enjoy it, but I was skeptical to say the least. You can't judge a book by it's cover, though! The restaurant was decorated very nicely for Christmas; they even have a farm out back and they soup it up really nice! Anyways, to the important stuff: The food! I had viewed the menu online so I had narrowed my decision down to a steak, a burger, or a chicken dish. In the end, I went with the 6 oz. filet. But first things first: my brother ordered the Shrimp cocktail, and I ended up sampling one of those. Nothing great. I'm not a seafood guy either way, so I'm not sure I would have liked anyone else's shrimp cocktail. Meh. As previously stated, I went with the 6 oz. filet. It came with the option of soup or salad. The soup of the day was Manhattan Clam Chowder, and me not being a huge seafood eater, I ordered a cup of the french onion soup. I also requested a side salad because I had a feeling my dinner would be small. I had the spinach side salad, and it came with mushrooms, bacon, egg, and a poppyseed vinagrette (ordered on the side). I was pleasantly surprised with the salad. Some places skimp on toppings and/or greens, but Ki's did neither. The French Onion soup came baked with cheese on top. Nothing too special about it, but not bad either. I ordered my filet medium, along with a baked sweet potato. My filet was cooked exactly how I wanted! The dish also came accompanied with a veggie medley, including zucchini, onions, carrots, green peppers, and celery. I like celery, but I'd never seen it sauteed like this before. It was still very good. I always want more veggies with my meal, and it seems like Ki's skimped here, but I won't fault them for it. I'm not a huge steak fan, but I was satisfied with my filet. It was cooked to my liking, and it wasn't too charboiled either. My brother ordered his medium rare, and his definitely was cooked a bit less than mine. Kudos Mr. Charbroiler! Overall, I was very happy with the dining experience. My drink (water) was kept filled the entire night, and our waitress was very attentive to any of our needs. The food order came in a reasonable about of time, too. I usually note the amount of time from the order being placed to when the food arrives, but I did not for this trip. I didn't notice it, so it was reasonable. I would recommend this place over any type of chainy restaurant (Chilis, Houlihans, etc). Definitely not an amazing place I'm dying to return to, but I promise I'll be back. Great service, good food, and a nice atmosphere.

    On a cold and frosty Sunday morning nothing brings joy quite like crab legs and bottomless mimosas all for 14.95. It is a superb deal with quality food. I am more particular than not and I have to say Ki's is one of my favorite Sunday activities. The peel and eat shrimp and halved crab legs are good and fresh. The remaining breakfast and lunch offering are all good too. It is a local long existing establishment that has always had a good reputation and good food. Nothing has changed, including the decor but get over it!

    Ki's is a place that was obviously created by someone's grandfather, and it shows. Decor is dated. Chairs and tables were worn and old. Had an odd view of a local geese pond. Food was an embarrassment. Had a bowl of French Onion Soup ($5) - it was soup, but the soup was salty and it was literally drowned in cheese with a massive crouton. Not a whole lot of room for soup left in the soup bowl. Ordered the Prime Rib ($29). It was basically Pot Roast. It had obviously been cooked in the au jus (possibly in a slow cooker) rather then roasted. It was tough, not even close to medium rare, and had no meat taste, only the watery au jus. G/F ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken ($19). Portion size was great, but the alfredo was completely tasteless and the chicken was dry. Service was prompt but so caustic, I'd never go back. We brought a group of approximately 40 (we informed them weeks in advance). We were told we had a private room - there were plenty of tables of other people sitting around us, which was not what we asked for. We were the last served table, and when the waitress came over and realized we hadn't order, she loudly exclaimed the F-word in describing it. She rushed us several times for our order so that "the kitchen wouldn't get backlogged". When I decided to refuse my terrible prime rib, she argued with me. "Our prime rib is very famous. It's always good." I told her I didn't like how they prepared it (it wasn't prime rib), and she argued with me, that I didn't know what I was talking about, that they were a "World-Class steakhouse". She refused to take it off my bill, and made such a scene that I told her to take it away, irregardless of the charge. Due to the group, they forced an 18% gratuity that in any other circumstance I would never ever give. Final score - 2 people, a nearly $100 tab, and we ended up getting a takeaway on the way back to the hotel. There's a hundred good steakhouses in Chicago who will treat you better with higher quality food then this dump. Go to Bavette's, Go to David Burke's, Go to Chicago Chop House, go to The Palm. Don't go to Ki's.

    Would give a 3.5 if I could. Kis is a nice place to go for dinner - go with my wife and her family every Christmas Eve. Food is very good - have had steaks and the duck on a few occasions. I have never had anything I didn't like. Unfortunately - if I had my choice would go elsewhere for the price. Kis has a hard time honoring reservation times every year and the decor and atmosphere isn't up to par with the price tag. Will continue to go back on Christmas Eve out of tradition but won't be taking my wife there for any other dinners.

    My family and I came for champagne brunch just this past Sunday. I was pleased with the quality of food and taste was well executed. Not to mention the overflowing champagne! My goodness it was wonderful! For a steal mind you about $16/person. The waitresses were ever so delightful and even though they were pretty busy you could always find them! The only reason this is not 5 stars is because they were having a bridal shower in the same room where we made reservations for and they were loud and playing games. Yet, I wouldn't have sat anywhere else because the view of the farm just tickles me. I will be here again, and again,....

    I have never been to Ki's, however, my parents enjoy the restaurant and go there on special occasions. Over the years they've had 5 children (all married) 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. They were celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary and could have gone anywhere but decided on Ki's for a quiet, romantic dinner for two. My mother called on a Tuesday afternoon to make 6:30 reservation for that evening and requested a special table by the window that apparently has a very special view. I spoke with her later that afternoon and she mentioned how excited she and my dad were and mentioned the special table and the view. They arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes early and they were directed to a table by the window overlooking the parking lot. When my mom mentioned she had called earlier in the afternoon to request a special table, the woman simply said sorry it's not available, they could either sit at that table or at a number of tables in the middle of the dining room. They settled for the middle of the dining room. They enjoyed their meal and did not make a fuss or let their disappointment ruin their 53rd anniversary. After speaking with my parents and asking how their date went, my mom shared the story and expressed her disappointment but again did not let it taint her mood. I, on the other hand, have a real hard time with the "hostess". They could have handled the situation better. I called to express my concerns with the way my parents request was dismissed as if they did not matter. I was told they do not take reservations for requested tables. Unfortunately they never shared this with my mom, if they had, I would not be writing this review.. They could have offered a cocktail or a pie of cakes as a token of peace on a $100 dinner. I was even more upset with the whole situation when the woman on the phone (obviously not management) would not accept accountability for their inability of communicating their policies. I mentioned a "yelp" review and with that the woman's response was have fun with your review and hung up on me. Needless to say our family and friends will never frequent that establishment again. A few untrained employees can taint an entire restaurant's reputation. Very sad indeed.

    This is a wonderful place to come! Their champagne brunch is fantastic. The food is wonderful and the service is really really really good. Mike was our server several times and he was always johnny on the spot. Or in this case Michael on the spot. if you're looking for a place that's reasonably priced, with very good food, I'd encourage you to stop on in!

    Kis, where to start? Disclosures: Any time I'm in town I will make the effort to stop at Kis. It never cease to amaze me. It like your part of the family home for a good dinner and drinks. I have had everything on the menu and have found it all to be outstanding. Best part: the bar area.

    So I found out recently that Ki's is pronounced Kai's. Yeah, like Cobra Kai. Sweep the leg... johnny. I went in for Sunday brunch. Let's just say it was awesome. I'll be back. I am hesitant to give away too much info. They have good quality food ,and the service is great. And the mimosas are bottomless. I'll definitely be back.

    I came here for lunch with a co-worker...I was expecting the atmosphere inside the restaurant to be nicer than it was...i'm not sure if it's due to the restaurant being old..but it smelled like urine or something fishy to me...ek... Food: Clam Chowder - tasted ok, a little bit on the more watery side though Caesar Salad - it doesn't come with chicken, unless you order the Caesar Salad w/ chicken/Caesar Chicken Salad/Chicken Caesar Salad....the salad did have a funky taste to it.. don't know if it was the lettuce or the sauce.. but I forced it down so I wouldn't be hungry for the remainder of the day..... :( ..... Costs: I had the Soup & Salad Combo for $8...I'm not sure if it was worth it.. I would have rather gotten a soup & salad combo at Panera and enjoyed it...but I'm sure they aren't known for salads.....so if you come here.. just order something that isn't called a salad. Atmosphere: as mentioned earlier...smelled a little weird...interesting because you can see the Roosters running around outside...but then again..birds scare me.. so it wasn't that great to look at for me...I would say at least for lunch.. usually you will see an older crowd here....for older folks that don't like IHOP?..not sure....you tell me.. *they have a lunch buffet here during lunch hours if you like to eat a lot ... a lot of selection, but from looks.. it didn't look really really tasty or anything.. :( ...

    Went to Ki's last spring because my buddy had a 20% off coupon from his credit card company. Anyway, to say that the place is "dated" is by far the nicest comment you could have given the decor. They seated us in back near the "nice view" (I'm guessing?) section. There was a nice smell of musty wood and bad seafood in the air. Yum Had a pleasant waitress who seemed to run the joint and gave us good selections of food. 20% off? Heck yeah! Let the champaign and appetizers roll! We all had a steak and two of us got "turf" added. All four of us ordered medium rare, the ladies with filet and my cohort strips. Each cut was cooked like they were experimenting on different temperatures on different grills. I had to send my steak back once and after it came back medium well (again), I just ate it. HOW DO YOU OVER COOK A STEAK TWICE?!? Maybe they gave me the same piece? I digress... The bill came to a whopping $390.xx. No worries! We have our 20% coupon! They took off $20. After asking nicely why they didn't take closer to $80 off, we were given no explanation and our bill was brought back with an additional $10 taken off. Ummmm. Ok? Anyway, mediocre food, bad ambiance and severely over priced. Go to Wildfire instead

    Suggested by a friend my husband and i decided to give Ki's a try. Really glad we did! Not only the food delicious but the service was great. Our waitress suggested the Macadamia nut crusted halibut and my husband had the bone-in Ribeye. Both were delicious and moderately priced compared to other restaurants. We dine out every weekend and will be coming back soon. When mentioning my husbands b-day the owner personally came over and bought us both a shot of oozo (he's Greek) And sat and talked with us! Really a nice neighborhood place to dine! And lots of entrees to choose from:)

    I've been here twice in the last 2-weeks after a long hiatus. I grew up in Glen Ellyn and remembered Ki's fondly. I went with a friend after it was suggested it was a good 'half-way' point between our homes. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. The service really could not have been better, in my opinion. The host was attentive, our waitress was great as were the bus people. When my friend did not like how rare the tuna was on her salad, they took it right back in the kitchen and came back with a salad with more well-done tuna on it. I had the chicken livers, which I remember being one of their 'famous' dishes from years ago and they were spot-on how I remembered them. Bread was hot and fresh when it arrived at our table. The decor is a bit dated, but the place is super-clean. After this good experience, I went back just last night with my sister, bro-in-law and dad, who had not been there for years. Again, attentive service, good food, nice atmosphere.

    Our fault for deciding on a 7:30 Saturday dinner last night. The place was packed, so my husband and I can be patient. Waited 40 minutes in the bar that offered no drink specials or specialties (and with no Hawks game playing!). The TVs were difficult to view from the bar anyway. Once we were shown our table, I had difficulty getting my chair in because the rude diner next to me was stretched out, reclining after his repast. It took a few rounds of Words with Friends before Susan the waitress appeared. I could not decide on a rum drink (she had no suggestions), so I suggested that she deliver that salad in her hand, and I'll know what to order in a minute. Twenty minutes later, she reappeared, took our drink orders and then wanted our dinner order. My husband ordered the salmon (which he said was good); I ordered the pork tenderloin, which was fine, but a little soggy. It seemed that the dill sauce was sitting on top of the pork too long. There were no carmalized onions (as stated on the menu) to accompany the dish. Vegetables were soggy and unsavory. We did not order dessert. Disappointed this time, since I have visited this establishment for lunch and dinner in recent months and had a better experience. Maybe just stay away on busy Saturday nights?

    I only gave it 4 stars for now. I WILL return and then re-evaluate. A wonderful family style place. Sitting outside or along the south windows gazing at the farm animals which belong to the owner, is always entertaining! Went for a weekday lunch and had no complaints.     Ki's is very good expecially if you enjoy filet medallions as much as I do!! Went there New Year's Eve, it was decorated festively and the waitress was very friendly - knew when to check on you & when to leave us alone. Had the baked escargot for appetizer - YUM! Blue cheese salad was very good and bacon wrapped medallions - even better, great sauce! Husband had the lamb. Prices are great - would've spent over $200 at Shaw's or Morton's on New Year's Eve, the bill was barely $100!! View was great - lots of windows and xmas lights outside.

    I used to think Ki s was a bit above your typical American restaurant (run by Greeks of course). But it is not. It has gone down hill and is now is below being just a typical restaurant... the food is poor and the prices are WAY HIGHER than they should be, given the lack of quality. The spinach salad I had for my starter had VERY WATERED-DOWN dressing. It was like somebody dumped water in it to stretch it. And the spinach wasnt fresh, and the onions chopped in it smelled bad. My main dish was the all you can eat Friday fish fry, which cost $17. The cod was NOT FRESH, and was undercooked. The French fries that came with it WERE NOT FRENCH FRIES.... they were not crunchy at all and were big hunks of completely dried out, tasteless, potatoes. My friend had the French onion soup, which was kind of OK, but too salty. She also had the saganaki (Greek flaming cheese), which was also OK, but was very basic, no lemon or Greek wine was poured onto it. All in all a VERY UNINSPIRED MEAL... and in fact, worse than that... I was one small step away from sending my salad and my entree back, but it just didnt seem worth the effort. I might add that the decor in this place is WAY OUTDATED... so in addition to poor food and high prices, you don't even have a nice atmosphere to enjoy. COME ON FOLKS... go somewhere else. You can do much better, price-wise and quality-wise, than this overrated place.

    Old school awesomeness! There was such a random interesting crow dining here for lunch. There was a ton of senior citizens, a wedding party (on a Thursday afternoon), a group of mobsters (maybe?) and business people like myself. The menu had a ton of mouth watering options, but I was good and went with a salad. It was huge and very filling. A lot of the other stuff looked very good. Our service was above average and she feed my diet coke addiction, by keeping me full. I am rarely in this area, but I would come back in a heartbeat.

    WE had a party of 6 at Ki's last nite. We decided it was less than satisfactory. I had ribs, they were dry and no sauce on them. The baked potatoe was cold, but the salad and vegetables were good. One of our party ordered the fish, but didn't want it crusted w/nuts. The waitress said no problem, but there were still LOTS of nuts. Small Filet - not very good. Frog Legs... lots of breading and not much flavor. I won't be returning and that's too bad since it was a nice resturant in our area - without going to Naperville or Oak Brook.

    I've heard so much about this place I had to try it. For the seventy something crowd, this must be the place. The food is overpriced and service is unexceptionally slow. Sides were cold and the waitress was hard to find. Because I couldn't believe it was this bad, I had to try it again. Same experience. Definitely not worth the price. However, the view was cool.

    Its weird but I love this place. Why do I love it? The food is so good. Real food. The lunch buffet is soooo good, great selection and super fresh salad bar! Why is it weird? Well first of all its weird/good, there's always a lot of really old people here (today the red hat club was there), If you get a window seat you will see a cute little country setting with ducks, geese, a pond, goats and some other animals... weird, right, weird good. Oh and the decorations for holidays are dollar store decorations silly weird. BUT the food is great! Service is great and genuine! Oh did I mention they bri.g two types of bread, one being pretzel bread? Yum.

    Usually i have nothing but good things to say abt this place. And the bartender Emily is a real pro. Made me sangria from scratch that was delish. But the calamari i had had a great crunchy tasty batter but the meat very chewy. If it is soaked in milk that helps with the chewy....also cant overcook. But still, i like this throw back place and all of the seniors that hang there. KUDOS EMILY

    OK, I have a mixed impression of this restaurant. I have gone on numerous occasions and each time the experience was different. The decor is a bit dated and the food is a very definite "OK". The prices seem a bit steep for what you get. Last time we dined here, our server was very surely and generally set a negative tone upon the evening. Will I go back? Probably so. Is it at the top of my list? Not at all.

    I have been going to Ki's for a few years. Really enjoy the music venues. The bartender is very rude. We waited 45 min for appetizers, which were cold. Not good for sea scallops and filet. I will never order food there again. When we asked about our order, she told us "the kitchen is backed up because we're busy". No apology, or never asked how our food was. This place has really slipped. Seems the help there is very unhappy. What happened to good service?? Very disappointed this time!

    Let's set the mood (and be fair!): My first experience here was for a family Holiday Dinner for 16 adults & 5 kids. We were in a private room and had a choice of four entrees so as not to make madness for the kitchen.... I'd say overall the feeling I got from this place was; meh. Just mehhh. I mean for upwards of $60.00 bucks a head for a steak and two glasses of wine I would like; I dunno, a little ambiance? Or for my waitress to remember my coffee which I had to ask for -four times, politely? Maybe get the coffee before you've served then cleared my dessert? Maybe? 1st the room we were in was right off the front door of Ki's; it resembled the coat check room and I had to ask twice where our party was because they kept pointing at the actual coat check room. The steak was okay, but for $29.00 bucks they might have done a little more than plop an uncut dried out baked potato and boiled carrots next to it on a white diner style plate. I would just say I was completely underwhelmed although the wait-staff was cheery in that: "I've worked here since HS and I'm now 48 with three kids I'm going to tell you all about them and their troubles (in the hopes for a better tip)..." kind of way. I think Ki's Steak House would be best appreciated by Grandparents who are used to eating at Senior Buffets. They might like to hear about someone else's kids foibles and be totally cool with overcooked denture friendly carrots. If Ki's were a book report about steak houses I'd give it a C for work completed, but not going that extra mile. Ki's you've got to give me a little more than a correctly cooked piece of meat! I can do that myself at home on my own grill.

    This place is rather good for it's steak, French onion soup, salad, etc. Although that one piece of cake for dessert I had was TOO big.

    I wouldn't recommend a brunch there. I like the retro decor and the outdoor space with animals; now they just need to get the food right. The eggs were watery and cold. Some of the shrimp being served was still frozen. Service was OK, they were very busy.

    LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Friendly staff, great food! Drinks are priced very reasonably - granted - it is an outdated decor, but who cares!?! Every time I have gone to this place (and it's been at least a dozen times with different waitresses) - each time is great! They know who we are each time we come in and that type of treatment is truly priceless! I will continue to frequent this place! :)

    We'd been to Ki's a few years ago and it was "ok". We went there recently and were really impressed with the food and service. It was great. We love the fact that it's not a chain and it is some-what "old school". The service was great. They have live bands on the weekend, too.

    My family and I went for the Easter brunch today. It was very mediocre for $30 a person. The selection was modest. The layout was not very good. They did not have an omelette making section like I had hoped. I was not impressed. The only thing I did like was some nice eye candy.
